President’s Message - Fall 2008
by Annette Morris
Dear Friends & Neighbors:
I hope you all had a wonderful and interesting summer. We had a full summer ourselves, both with good and sad news. As some of you are aware, my parents, both in their mid-90’s, passed away within a month of each other. There was no catastrophic event; they just ended their lives as they had lived them – together. The provision of their care and now the settling of their estate have been exhausting.
At this time, it is apparent that I must step down from my position as President of this great association. We are looking for a volunteer to assume this important position. I am very willing to help transition my duties over this coming winter and to support our new President in any way possible. We are fortunate that we have a full complement of volunteers on the Board. Now we need a leader!
As President, I have coordinated neighborhood problems and issues with our City Council and local agencies and also with our Board Members. I also reported quarterly to our neighbors in the RRRA Newsletter. I have tried to make our neighborhood a better and safer place to live, and to foster a spirit of cooperation and mutual support. If you would like to “throw your hat in the ring,” please feel free to call me.
