The November 18th Meeting Canceled

We have just been notified that the Harbor Area Planning Commission Meeting regarding Ponte Vista Scheduled for Tuesday Nov 18th has been CANCELED. No official explanation has been given.
At this point in time, Ponte Vista is still scheduled to go before the City Planning Commission on Dec 11th.

It is our understanding that the Area Planning Commission is not a mandatory step in the process. They have not decision making role, only the opportunity to review and comment. The City Planning Commission, is the body responsible for making a decision. Their decision can, and most likely will, be appealed to the City Council.
In the meantime we are still awaiting the Planning Department staff recommendation on the proposed specific plan. Although we had anticipated that it would be released today, that now appears highly unlikely.
